  • Lyn Hoffman

I grew up on a small farm in Michigan. Hunting and fishing as much as possible. Even quit playing high school sports so I could spend more time in the woods. After graduating high school I moved to Alaska to work for an outfitter and start a guiding career. Few years later I got an offer to guide deer in South Dakota and fell in love with the hunting and the people. 20 years later, I spend over 200 days in the field guiding 9 months out of the year between Alaska, New Mexico and South Dakota. Guiding for Dall sheep, brown bear, grizzly bear, caribou, mountain goat, moose, elk, mule deer, barbary sheep, ibex, oryx, and whitetail deer.

  • Lacey Hoffman

My wife Lacey grew up in Georgia and is an elementary school teacher and full time mother to our son Hatcher. Lacey played soccer at Elon University where she graduated with a degree in psychology. Then she attended Kennesaw State and graduated with a degree in childhood education. After college she moved to Alaska where she developed the same passion for the outdoors as me. In what spare time we have Lacey and I also run a nonprofit organization called “Teach Them Outdoors.” It’s an outdoor education camp educating kids and families in the outdoor way of life.

  • Chris Carter

Chris grew up on a family ranch that is a cow calf cattle operation. Growing up he learned what hard work is at a young age helping his parents, family and neighbors on some of the same ranches we hunt today. Hunting was always part of his way of life. Starting out at a young age chasing small game with his brothers and cousins with BB guns. Chris played sports and rodeoed throughout grade school. Then attended Western Dakota Tech where he received a business degree. Chris has been working in the agricultural business for the past 20 years and outfitting deer hunts on the side. He has also spent time hunting throughout the south, and southwestern part of the country!

ORIGIN OF NAME

Growing up and learning how to hunt deer and turkeys from my grandpa he would say to me, “If you want to see animals you need to be so quiet that you can hear the wind whispering to you.” After sitting the rest of the day, on the way back in to the cabin i told him, “Whispering Winds, that would be a cool name for a hunting outfit.” Well 30 years later that dream is here.
